    Hello Buddy,
    
1- Well, for the portfolio Create a new page > Page attributes > Template > Choose whatever suites you, you can find portfolio Grid, 2 columns, 3 columns, ….etc.
    

    2- and for the author bio it is created to show the visitor who wrote the articles so it will only appear below the articles/posts.
